3” Styrofoam Brand rigid foam insulation helps to
protect foundation walls when backfilling. The 3”
STYROFOAM™ sheets will absorb the impact from rocks and
clay during backfilling. They also create a secondary
moisture barrier helping to protecting the basement from
ground water and the R-15 insulation reduces the potential
for cracking of the foundation due to freezing. By keeping
the foundation warmer, the chances of condensation
appearing on the interior is also greatly reduced.
